The honorary 404-er Nathan Smith and I presented “Triple Code Crunch” at the Echo Conference in Dallas this past weekend. Topics included background on Web Standards and a wide swath of front-end development techniques, e.g. employing microformats, growing CSS 3 support in browsers, and the jQuery and YUI JavaScript libraries.

Last week, a conversation arose as to the best way to mark-up a form consisting of horizontal, label and text field combinations. I have thought about it for a bit and would agree that tables are sometimes a workable means for organizing form elements. At the same time, I am not sure that definition lists are inappropriate, either.

When I joined Geniant last December, there had already been some discussion about building a company blog. After Jared finished creating the new logo for Geniant, there was enough in place to move forward in expanding the brand. Based on Garrett’s wireframes, Jared handed to me a few brilliantly done Photoshop documents, and I began the process of turning them into code.
